Going Underground?

All aboard! The SalsaTrain each Sunday @ the Horse and Groom Pub right by South Wimbledon tube station on the Northern Line. Beginners Salsa & Bachata classes each Sunday from 3-7pm. SalsaTrain classes have been running each Weds for almost 2 years now.

The classes are fun & interactive with Dominic Insta(Salsa_Legend) with over 20 years salsa experience, and Trish with 10 years teaching experience. Dominic’s style is Predominately L.A. on 1/ cuban fusion. He was placed 1st in the Tropicana Tropics World Open Salsa Championship (Ama Division) 2003, has performed with a team of dancers at the 2005 UK salsa congress and placed as runner up in the European Open Salsa Championships (Cab 2007). He has also performed at the Scandinavian Salsa Congress 2009 in Sweden; as part of a team at one of the New York Salsa Congresses and instructed for many salsa promoters within the UK and Internationally.

During lockdown, Dom launched his weekly music show “Sundown Salsa Live” on Mixcloud and now plays regularly on OSSR radio every Friday 10am-12pm. Trish also teaches the beginners and 2nd improvers classes on Wednesdays & will assist in teaching these classes.

Lessons (45 mins long) include party. No partner necessary.

Boarding from 2.30pm

1st stop – 3-3.45pm Beginners Bachata

2nd stop – 4-4.45pm Beginners Salsa

PartyTrain – 5-7pm

Homeward Bound 7pm

£10 for 1 class, £12.50 for 2 classes, £5 for party only. Early bird tickets for 2 classes including party train for £7.50 available until 3pm each Saturday – 24 hours before SalsaTrain.

Venue details and information.

The Horse & Groom pub is a stones throw from South Wimbledon Tube Station – on the Northern Line. Upon arrival please enter the pub walk through to the garden and come to the terrace. You will need to show your pre paid ticket on your phone.

The venue has a fully stocked bar at extremely reasonable prices & crisps, nuts. It is a very spacious venue and has a very comfortable feel with concrete floor which is conducive for learning Salsa and Bachata. Please wear trainers or something soft for dancing on concrete.
